About PentaPost

People. Places. Perspectives.

PentaPost is an English-language news edition that starts where you are and widens to your region, your country and the world. It reads official public feeds and the news feeds of publishers, groups reports of the same event into one story, and shows each story with every source named and linked. Short items show the publisher's headline with a link to the full report; longer briefs are written by PentaPost from the facts in several sources, with an AI writer working under automatic checks.

PentaPost is new and still growing. Today it covers the Piedmont Triad in North Carolina in most depth, with national and world news for every reader, a weather card for the reader's place, and a desk for each place that will carry the work of local journalists and agencies once they join. How the briefs are made is described on How we write; what the site stores is on Privacy; how to ask for a correction is on Corrections.
