What PentaPost is

PentaPost is a news site. It reads public sources, writes its own short accounts from the facts they report, names every source and links to it. It is free to read and asks for no account.

What you may do with it

You may read, print and share links to any page. You may quote a PentaPost brief briefly with a link to it. Articles that PentaPost republishes under another publisher's licence stay under that licence, which the page names.

Other people's work

Headlines, reports and data named on a card belong to the publisher or agency named beside them. The link takes you to their own site, under their own terms. Official safety instructions are quoted exactly as the issuing agency wrote them; follow the agency, not a summary.

Accuracy

PentaPost checks every brief against its sources before it is published, and corrects mistakes openly (see Corrections). A brief is a summary of what the named sources reported at the time shown; for anything that matters to you, read the original and the official notice. Calendar entries (holidays, observances, releases, events) are listed as their sources give them and can change.

No advice

Nothing on PentaPost is legal, medical, financial or safety advice. In an emergency, follow the instructions of the authorities where you are.

Using the site fairly

Do not try to break, overload or copy the site in bulk, and do not use it to harm anyone.

Changes and contact

These terms may change; the page shows the current version. Questions go to [email protected] (see Contact).
